Common questions
What should an electrical quote include?
Your details and the customer's, a quote number and validity date, an itemised scope of labour and materials, the subtotal and VAT if registered, the total, what is included and excluded, any deposit, and an acceptance line.
What is the difference between a quote and an estimate?
A quote is a fixed price you are committing to; an estimate is an informed guess that can change. For defined work, give a quote so the customer knows the price and you can hold them to acceptance.
