Terms of Service
Last updated 15 June 2026.
These terms govern your use of SparkCerts. By creating an account you agree to them.
The service
SparkCerts is software to create quotes, BS 7671 electrical certificates (EICR, EIC, Minor Works), invoices and related records. It is a tool to help you produce and manage documents. It is not a substitute for your professional judgement.
Your account
Give accurate details, keep your login secure, and you are responsible for activity under your account, including team members you invite.
Free trial and payment
Your first three jobs are free. After that the service is £12 a month, billed through Stripe, until you cancel. Cancel any time; access continues to the end of the paid period. Prices may change with notice.
Your content and your customers' data
You keep all rights to the data and documents you create. You are responsible for their accuracy and for having a lawful basis to hold your customers' details. You can export your documents as PDFs at any time.
Your responsibility as the electrician
Certificates follow BS 7671 model forms, but you remain the qualified, competent and signing electrician. You are solely responsible for the inspection, testing, the classification of observations and the validity of any certificate you issue. SparkCerts does not verify your work and is not liable for it.
Acceptable use
Do not use the service unlawfully, to send spam, to infringe others' rights, or to attempt to disrupt or gain unauthorised access to it.
Availability
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service, and may carry out maintenance. Features may change as the product develops.
Liability
To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided "as is". We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profit, or any matter arising from certificates or work you carry out. Nothing limits liability that cannot be limited by law. Our total liability is limited to the fees you paid in the previous twelve months.
Termination
You can stop using the service and delete your account at any time, after exporting your data. We may suspend or end access for breach of these terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, whose courts have exclusive jurisdiction.
