SPARKCERTS

QUOTE IT.
TEST IT.
CERT IT.
INVOICE IT.

SparkCerts runs the whole job for a UK sparky. You price the work on your phone, send the quote, do the install, fill in the EIC or EICR on site and the invoice goes out with the certificate attached. One app, one monthly fee, everything in the right place when the customer or NICEIC asks.

See it run a job

Ninety seconds, start to finish: quote, certificate, invoice, paid.

The paperwork takes longer than the second fix.

Most sparks we know run the business out of three places. Quotes live in WhatsApp and a notes app. Certificates live in a separate cert app or a pad of NAPIT forms in the van. Invoices live in whatever was cheapest that year. Chasing one finished job means opening all three and hoping the house number matches.

The big field service suites fix the admin and ignore the certs. The cert apps do beautiful certificates and leave the money side to you. SparkCerts was built on the bet that an electrician's quote, test results and invoice are one job and should live in one record.

What's in the box

Certificates that hold up

EIC, EICR and Minor Works to BS 7671, filled in on your phone with the meter still in your hand. Test results validate as you type, so a Zs that can't be right gets flagged on site instead of by the scheme assessor. PDF signed and emailed before you leave.

Quotes from your phone

Price a board change in the customer's kitchen from your own price list. They accept by tapping a link, and the job, the cert and the deposit request are created off the back of it.

Invoices that chase themselves

The invoice goes out with the certificate attached, which is usually the moment a landlord stops being slow about paying. It carries a pay-by-card link to a page showing the exact balance due. If it goes overdue, SparkCerts chases it for you: an email, then a text after a week, then a final notice, until it's paid. Or chase it yourself in one tap. CIS and VAT handled.

A van-friendly job list

Today's jobs with addresses, gate codes, board photos from the survey and what you quoted. Works offline in a basement, syncs when you're back on signal.

Remembers every install

When the EICR is due in five years, SparkCerts tells you first. Recurring landlord work becomes a list you ring through every January instead of business you hope comes back.

Where we stand against the big names

Tradify and Commusoft are good at running a ten-van firm, and if that's you, buy one of them. SparkCerts is for the sole trader and the two-man band. It does fewer things, the things it does are the ones you touch every day, and it costs £12.

Tradify / Commusoft

  • · £30–60 per user / month
  • · + a separate certification app
  • · Built for ten-van firms

SparkCerts

  • + £12 flat, one price
  • + Certificates included, in the same record
  • + Built for one or two vans

Certificates, quoting, invoicing, customer texting and an option to add a second user all work today. See the full feature list, in plain language.

Why you can trust it

We're new, so we have not got a wall of testimonials yet. Here is exactly what makes the certificates and your data stand up.

The thing a PDF can't fake

Checked on site, not by the assessor

An impossible Zs or a slow RCD is flagged against the device while the meter is still in your hand, long before an assessor ever sees the PDF. The reading that can't be right never makes it onto a signed certificate.

BS 7671 model forms

EIC, EICR and Minor Works follow the model forms scheme assessors check against. You stay the qualified, signing electrician.

No lock-in

Every certificate and invoice exports as a standard PDF any time. Cancel any month and take your documents with you.

Works offline

Boards live where there's no signal. Certificates, photos and jobs save on the phone and sync when you're back in coverage.

Free tools that work

Cable size, max Zs, RCD times, diversity and more, the same calculations that sit behind the app. Try the tools, no sign-up.

Built in the UK

Made for UK electricians, priced in pounds, with email support from the people who build it.

Answered by the builders

Email support goes to the people who write the code, not a ticket queue. You hear back from someone who can actually change the thing.

Fair questions

Are the certificates accepted by NICEIC and NAPIT?

The forms follow the BS 7671 model forms, which is what scheme providers assess against. You stay responsible for the testing and the signature, same as with paper.

What happens to my certs if you shut down?

Every certificate and invoice is a standard PDF you can bulk-export at any time, and we'd give 90 days notice.

Does it work without signal?

Yes. Certificates and job notes work offline and sync when the van finds 4G again.

I do gas and electrics. Can I use it for both?

Today it covers electrical certs only. Gas certificates are next on the roadmap, and quoting and invoicing already work fine for any trade's jobs.

Run your next job through it.

Three jobs free. If it saves you an evening of paperwork, it stays in the van.
